Casa Wish has Electricity!!
We still enjoy candlelit nights but now recuperating survivors who visit Casa Wish can turn on a light, use a fan, and charge their cell phones right at home. The solar project is up and running! Now the gentle glow of candles is preceded by the gentle glow of low watt light bulbs with the flick of a switch. |

Two hundred and twenty five of the I Wish I Knew series in Spanish were cleared customs today for delivery to Grupo de Recuperación Total - Grupo Reto, A.C. located in Mexico City, Mexico!
Grupo Reto has affiliates in every state in the country offering medical and adjunct therapies to women with breast cancer. They will distribute the series in Mexico City and through Grupo Reto affiliates.
This donation was made possible by a generous grant from the Greene Family of Oregon. With sponsors like this and the sponsors that enabled us to send books to Wellness Centers across the US and in several foreign countries we are bringing emotional support to women daily. |

That Barry Girl awarded two grants today through Patient to Patient, Heart to Heart, a cancer support network at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. One grant was a result of the successful fundraising effort with Enchanted Designs by Molly that ran from October 08 to January 09. The second is a result of generous end of year donations from several supporters that enabled That Barry Girl Foundation to send books to care centers nation wide and in several foreign countries. Patient to Patient, Heart to Heart will administer the grants to patients in treatment to be used at the patients' discretion because ultimately, only the patient knows what will work best. |
