I am easily depressed. Weird huh? People think I am such a happy person. But I mean, look at the world. It can be tough.
But I do the exercises: attitude of gratitude, mindfulness, being present in the moment. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. Everyone has their opinion why: I am too tired, lack Vitamin B, need more yoga (seriously?), teach too much, want too much, am too old, too demanding, too hormonal. The list goes on and on. All I know is that depression is real and debilitating. It makes the most wonderful day a little grey and cloudy. So I am always looking for ways around it. It may be a constant but I am a constant force against it.
I stumbled on this the other day, a gift from a friend and it makes sense: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78nsxRxbf4w.
Did you see it? Seriously, let it play while you do all those other important things like texting and instagramming or whatever. Listen to Jacqueline Way in the background of your day while she explains her project which shows that through a practice of giving we can make the world a happier and better place. You don’t need to join or subscribe or pay. You just need to give something every single day. That simple. Try it and inspire and change perhaps not just one person’s life, but a whole bunch of people’s lives, most importantly your own.
Practice giving.
stop being depressed, come for a visit, nice food , friends,,,maybe some dances!!! stop working so hard, live your life!!!!

Thank you for sharing. It’s a beautiful video. With everything we do we never know how far the ripples go. Inward and outward ripples.
I think part of my giving is the work I do with bucema. That is why it makes our group so happy when we share our projects. You are part of it too, sharing your space with us when we get together.
